Testimonial
I just wanted to say thank you to your staff that came to Spire View in Grantham for our complementary health sessions. Their mannerism and patience towards all of the service users was brilliant and I know that everyone that took part thoroughly enjoyed it.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to The Wellbeing Clinic for helping me to focus on changing my life.
I am a senior partner in a Financial Services Company so I need to make sure that my health is in tip top condition as my role is extremely demanding.
I decided to lose some weight and eat more healthily, my energy levels seemed low and I did not want to be reliant on medication for problems that could be sorted out by simply changing my life style a little.
I found The Wellbeing Clinic to be most helpful. As they have a number of therapists working in most all of the complementary health spectrum, I could choose which therapy would be the most effective for me at any given time.
I started by seeing the Nutritionist who discussed with me a nutritional plan that I liked and fitted in with my way of life. I also felt that I needed some kind of help with changing my eating habits and the way I think about food, so I also enlisted the help of their hypnotherapist.
Well in a very short space of time I am feeling rather fantastic, much more focused and a general wellbeing all over.
I’m glad I decided to make this change sooner rather than later and I am also more aware just how much my business is dependant upon me.

Counselling
As a Human Recources Manager, I am often called upon to help people back to work and there are always occasions when stress becomes a problem. I had an employee, who went off work sick due to stress. He was a young man with a young family and he was one of our brightest sales associates.
For various reasons both at work and at home he felt unable to cope and was convinced that his career was over. Working with the Wellbeing Clinic, within 8 weeks he was back at work, and working with the same vigour and enthusiasm as before. From his point of view he was delighted with the results and from my company’s point of view we hadn’t lost a good employee. If our employee had been unable to return to work we would have to recruit, train and retain a new associate which would have been less cost effective for us. We value our employees and we are grateful to The Wellbeing Cinic for their help and support.

Thank you for the excellent training that you have provided us with over the last few weeks.
As we are so quick to criticise that which is bad, and some of the training we have received from other trainers, as you have heard, has been bad, I thought it only right that we should also praise that which is good, hence this letter.
I have never before attended training where my attention has been held throughout with so little effort on my part. I have given a great deal of thought as to why this was the case, and consider that either you have an exceptional talent or that you have worked extremely hard at what you do in order to achieve this result. My conclusion is I think, that it is probably a mixture of both.
I have noticed that each session is kept short, that you stand up for a short while and then sit down for a short while. You vary the speed of your delivery and the volume to great effect. Completion of questionnaires, group work, discussions and your own dialogue are all interspersed with each other, maintaining the variety and interest.
Above all you seem to have a genuine interest in people and an ability to use that to help everyone, without exception, get the most out of the training by putting something in and feeling comfortable doing so.
I,like you, believe that people are individuals and since becoming a manager I have spent a lot of time thinking about those individuals who I manage and trying to work out what “makes them tick” so that the way in which I approach them is appropriate. I still have much to learn.
Although it appears that what you do comes naturally to you I am sure that you have been the catalyst for positive change in many organisations in the past and that this will be the case also for us. The rest, I know, is up to us.
I look forward to meeting and working with you again in the future.

Workplace Wellbeing
There are times in the workplace when it’s not quite all working out, you’re not where you think you should be or making the most of who and what you are.
Michael Sylvester is a critical friend in the workplace. He has encountered these uncomfortable emotions himself at all levels of a career spanning more than 40 years and has developed friendly, down to earth methods of helping many others to identify and unravel the feelings that lie at the heart of their frustration and unrest, motivating them to unlock and release their potential.
Louise felt she was being overlooked and patronised, so held back from making the contributions she knew she could make to her organisation. After a series of discussions with Michael Sylvester, she became aware of the effects of an attitude that had been laid down over the years within her family. Louise responded to this new context and now both she and her organisation are benefiting from her enhanced performance.
George was in his fifties with years of service to a Local Authority. He had social difficulties and saw himself as an embarrassment. He knew of financial irregularities within the organisation but could not articulate it to his bosses. After a series of discussions with Michael Sylvester, he unearthed the root of his negative feelings about himself, reported the irregularities and now says he is enjoying a new lease of life “visualising and experiencing” rather than “processing”
As a junior accountant in a large company Hilary had to give presentations to the Directors. She found this very hard to do, which undermined her credibility. After describing her feelings to Michael Sylvester she discovered an easier way to present information and has been promoted.
Tony has worked with his employer for eleven years. For three of those he has been top salesman and at the age of 46 he had high expectations of becoming sales manager. Instead, Tony found himself being managed by a young woman of 24. Tony found this very difficult, resulting in him not achieving his sales target. He discussed the issues with Mike Sylvester and together they found a way forward for future development. Tony is once again top salesman and enjoys a good working relationship with his manager.
Angela felt patronised by older, male team members. Michael Sylvester helped her to increase her self confidence in the business arena and now she has found equality in her workplace.
